Track Love: Jamie xx feat. Romy – Loud Places

[:en]Of course Jamie xx doesn’t need any introduction. I just wanted to give his new release some attention even though I’m a bit late with posting on this. (However my playlist is more up-to-date than this blog; I added the tracks the moment they were released on Spotify. Please do subscribe if you like it.)

I have that “In Colour” preview on repeat since it’s release. “Loud Places” and “Gosh” are two new tracks from that upcoming album; the first one features vocals by his The xx bandmate Romy. And don’t skip the earlier released tracks that are part of that preview, of which “Girl” is one of my favorites.

“In Colour” is out on June 1 on Young Turks.[:nl]Natuurlijk heeft Jamie xx geen introductie meer nodig. Ik wou heel graag nog wat aandacht schenken aan zijn nieuwste release, ook al ben ik ietwat laat hiermee. (Mijn playlist is wel up-to-date, meer nog dan deze blog; ik voegde de tracks toe op het moment dat ze op Spotify verschenen.)

Ik heb de “In Color” preview op repeat sinds de release. “Loud Places” en “Gosh” zijn twee nieuwe tracks van dat te verschijnen album. Op die eerste neemt Romy, zijn bandlid uit The xx, de vocalen voor haar rekening. Sla ook zeker niet de eerder verschenen tracks over, waarvan “Girl” een van mijn favorieten is. Deze muziek versterkt mijn jaarlijkse ‘Londen-homesickness’ onwijs.
