Seekae, the Sydney based trio, are best known for their 2014 single “Another” and the Flume re-work of their track “Test & Recognise”. However, they’ve been around for quite a while now, with already three full albums under their belt: ‘The Sound of Trees Falling on People’ (2009), ‘+Dome’ (2011) and “The Worry” (2014). Throughout the years their sound shifted from instrumental experimental electronic music to a bit more electronic-pop oriented sound with more room for vocals.
Their latest release is “Turbine Blue”, which is a fine song on it’s own, but it’s the remixes that really caught my attention. It’s been some time since we heard from Charles Murdoch but his remix is really dark and mesmerising. Dutch Kai Hugo gives the track a retro vibe and typical Palmbomen II makeover. The other remixes are by CORIN and Swindail, also worth checking out.
