French producer Petit Biscuit has a new album out. It features collaborations with Lido and Panama amongst others. Presence, as the album’s titled, is the follow-up to a bunch of singles and 2016’s self-titled EP. “Sunset Lover” was a hugely successful track taken from that EP.
Mehdi Benjelloun is the producer’s real name and he only just turned 18. When his first single “Palms” came out he was only 15!
Presence has a more commercial vibe and some of the material sounds a bit bland (“On The Road” for example). However, it still has interesting tracks that standout like “Beam”, the Kaytranada-like “Break Up” or the UK-vibing title-track.
