Dnc Dnc – April 2015 / House mixtape by Joryck

[:en]Here it is, our second instalment of the Dnc Dnc mixtape series. Joryck delivers again with a fine mixtape of recently released house/tech-house records.

Dnc Dnc – April 2015 / Mixed by Joryck / Vrwrts.nl by Vrwrts on Mixcloud

JORYCK: For this month mix we dive into a deeper sound with loads of great releases, a debut album, a sophomore album and a killer compilation. But we start off with a grooving and shaking remix of Coeo’s Closing by Lay-Far, on Legaffe Tales, a nice little label from Iceland with a strong output of deep and soulful sounding tracks. Just as deep are the sounds of Fort Romeau on Lately, from his sophomore album on Ghostly International. Surfacing from those lush sounds we come in to Dance 4 U, taken from the amazing “Love That Will Not Die” album by The Revenge, a personal favorite of mine, who finally presented his debut album, after 15 years of curating and creating. Released on his own label Roar Groove, the album is packed full of great tracks with a truly unique feel, he brings a certain sense of suspense and tension to every track that will keep your ears peaked at all times.
Keeping the build up going we come across some great tech house releases, the Lewis Boardman remix of These Emotions by Kings of Tomorrow & Hector Couto and Audiojack’s remix of All Things Go by Emanuel Satie, who has already seen a lot of great releases this year. Getting out of the deeper sounds we find Phil Weeks with his funky A Man Needs a Woman, released on his own Robsoul label. As we close of this months mix we get into some crazy sounds, first up Arsy with La Structure Dramatique, from the Hafendisko label compilation which packs a lot of heat, followed by the always amazing The Cyclist with Aurora (Shortwave Mix) from his new EP on Music/Is/For/Losers. And who else to send us off into the warm, summer nights then The Revenge with another fine piece from his album “Love That Will Not Die”, which I cannot recommend enough.

Other great releases included as well from Kiko Navarro, The Carter Brothers, Francis Inferno Orchestra and Catz ‘n Dogz.
