NZCA LINES

[:en]NZCA/LINES are back! Well, you now spell it as NCZA LINES. The London indie-electronic outfit released “Persephone Dreams” and now “Two Hearts” which will be part of their second album arriving early 2016.

“Persephone Dreams” is more in line with their previous work but with a big synth-y chorus, a guitar solo and hell, it even features steel drums. Their latest single “Two Hearts” has a bit of a sci-fi feel and a live kit sounding beat.

I think the drums is a nice add and I found out this is due to the line-up change. Michael Lovett (the main man behind NZCA LINES since 2012) is joined by new members Charlotte Hatherly and Sarah Jones. Sarah Jones has toured with numerous UK bands, but we know her as that amazing drummer of Hot Chip.

The new album “Infinite Summer” will come out 22nd January on Memphis Industries.

[:nl]NZCA/LINES zijn terug! Nou ja, blijkbaar moeten we het nu spellen als NCZA LINES. De uit London-afkomstige indie-electronic band bracht eerder single “Persephone Dreams” uit en nu “Two Hearts”, die beide onderdeel zijn van het begin 2016 te verschijnen tweede album.

“Persephone Dreams” is meer in de lijn van hun vorige werk, maar met een groots synth-y refrein, een gitaarsolo en yep zelfs steel drums. Hun laatste single “Two Hearts” heeft een beetje een sci-fi vibe en een beat ingespeeld op een live kit in plaats van een drumcomputer.

Die live drums zijn een mooie toevoeging en dit geluid is vooral te danken aan de verandering in de line-up. Michael Lovett (de stabiele kracht achter NZCA LINES sinds 2012) wordt bijgestaan door nieuwe leden Charlotte Hatherly en Sarah Jones. Sarah Jones tourde al met vele UK bands, maar we kennen haar vooral als die geweldige drummer van Hot Chip.

Het nieuwe album “Infinite Summer” zal 22 januari uit komen via Memphis Industries.
