Lully

[:en]For the Dutch, ‘Lully’ is kind of a funny name.. Apparently named after 17th century French baroque composer, dancer and court troublemaker Jean Baptiste Lully. The mysterious UK electronic producer/songwriter has a new track out titled “Sans Chapeau” and is released along with another poem (see below). With heavy synths and distorted vocals, “Sans Chapeau” is still unmistakably a pop song. As Lully said: “Verse, bridge, chorus and all the accoutrements”. It’s the follow up to awesome “Slow D’s” (which also had a poem).

“Sans Chapeau” will be released as a double A-side with “Slow D’s” on Brixton based label Aesop, which already released debut material by SOHN, TĀLĀ, Klyne, Sylas and Gent Mason. Here at Vrwrts we think Lully is one of the most exciting emerging artists of 2016!
