Astronauts, Etc.

[:en]Astronauts, Etc. are a indie-pop band from Oakland, California. The band is fronted by Anthony Ferraro, who’s also a touring band member of Toro Y Moi. Scott Brown plays bass in the band and also plays in Waterstrider, who we’ve posted about before. They already released a bunch of singles and EPs (“Sadie” (2014) and “Supermelodic Pulp” (2012)).

Ferraro sings in a falsetto voice and the music’s funky, soulful and groovy, 70’s inspired. A new EP (or album?) is on the way, since they’ve recently shared two songs taken from it, “I Know” and “No Justice”. Check it out below.

Scott Brown speelt basgitaar in de band en speelt ook o.a. in Waterstrider. Al eerder brachten ze een aantal singles en EP’s uit (“Sadie” (2014) en “Supermelodic Pulp” (2012)).

Ferraro zingt met een falsetto stem en de muziek is funky, soulful, groovy en lichtjes geïnspireerd door de jaren ’70. Een nieuwe EP (of album?) is onderweg, aangezien ze recentelijk al twee nieuwe nummers deelden die daar afkomstig van zijn, “I Know” en “No Justice”. Beluister ze hieronder.
